SMJUHSD's Back-To-School Night 2025

Thousands of parents and students attended Back-to-School Night at Pioneer Valley High School, Righetti High School, Santa Maria High School, and the Mark Richardson Center on August 28th.

Families got a chance to experience a student’s schedule, meet staff, teachers, and members of the administration. Teachers were also available to answer questions about course expectations and academic progress.

“This is so very important for all parents and families,” said Guadalupe Rodriguez, whose daughter attends PVHS. “It was a wonderful experience.”

RHS Principal Ted Lyon said the event was a great occasion for parents to “connect” with staff and visit classrooms.
“Back-to-School Night is a great opportunity for parents to meet the staff and walk the campus,’’ Lyon added. “It fosters the school home partnership that is essential for long term student success. Righetti High School has four feeder districts, and this night provides an opportunity for everyone to come together as one big Warrior family.’’

Delta High School will complete the Back-to-School Night series on September 11th.
