SMHS Cross County and the SMHS Car Show

What started as an idea has now become a tradition. The 2nd Annual Santa Maria High School Car Show, proudly hosted by the Saints Cross Country, was a tremendous success and a true celebration of SMHS, the community, and the passion that brings people together.

From the moment the first cars arrived on Aug. 8th, the atmosphere was filled with excitement. Beautiful classics, trucks, muscle cars, and unique builds lined the campus, drawing car enthusiasts, families, students, staff, and community members together for a memorable day.

But this event was about much more than cars. It was about teamwork, school spirit, and giving our student-athletes an opportunity to work toward something bigger than themselves.

“The greatest success wasn't measured by the number of cars or people who attended,’’ said Saint Math Teacher / Boys Cross Country Coach Antonio Canongo. “It was measured by the smiles, conversations, friendships, memories, and sense of accomplishment shared throughout the day. The success of the car show is a reflection of what can happen when a community comes together with a common purpose. Thank you all for your support.”
