CSEA Negotiations Update
SMJUHSD and CSEA have reached Tentative Agreement on a three-year agreement, effective July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2028.
In all, the parties reached agreement on twelve Articles in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. We have highlighted the monetary items here. CSEA representatives will be sharing the details of the agreed to items with their employees as per their policy. The entirety of the negotiated document will be available to the public as it will be included in the February 10, 2026, Board Agenda.
If successfully ratified by CSEA and approved by the Board of Education on or before the date of the February Board Meeting date, CSEA members will receive a 1% on-schedule increase and a 2% off-schedule, one-time payment on their February 27, 2026, paycheck. Retroactive pay back to July 1, 2025, will also be included in the February paycheck.
The timing of the adjustments and refunds of medical premiums due to the tentatively agreed to increased amounts the District will now pay towards medical insurance will be communicated at a later date.
